“They pressed into service a passer-by, Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.”  Mark 15:21

THE SIMON PROJECT, named after *Simon of Cyrene, is a parish-wide Lenten event to promote Works of Mercy & Ministry Engagement. We challenge YOU, members of the Holy Spirit community, to help us reach our parish goal of 40 thousand hours of prayer and participation from March 9 through May 19, 2019. The Simon Project encourages individuals and families to volunteer 10 hours each (that’s only one hour per week) in either parish or community activities. By supporting the project, you will have the opportunity to establish a more meaningful prayer life and step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

*Simon of Cyrene (the 5th station of the cross) helped Jesus to carry his cross all the way to Calvary.
