Happy Easter season to you all! I pray you are having a blessed week...

Next weekend (April 24-April 25), at all of the Masses, we will be celebrating 1st Eucharist. What this means for us is that these children and their families need to be given first priority to attend the Masses next weekend. So if you notice when you go to sign up for Mass next weekend that a particular Mass is full or that there are only a few slots remaining, please recognize that it is so these children can receive this important Sacrament. I highly encourage those of you who can attend a week-day Mass instead to do so. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

As many of you know April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. It is also the month we traditionally hold our annual prayer service for victims/survivors of abuse particularly those within our church. Bishop Medley will be presiding over the prayer service Monday, April 19th at 6pm at St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro. They will be live streaming this service at ststephencathedral.org/live for those who wish to participate but are unable to attend in person.

I remind you that the obligation to attend Sunday Mass has been removed. If you are sick or compromised in any way or you live with anyone who is compromised, you should not attend and are encouraged instead to watch the livestream of the Saturday 4:30pm Mass on our Facebook page at https://facebook.com/hsccbg OR our website at https://holyspiritcatholic.org/livestreamed-masses. No account or login is required at either website in order to watch. In addition, we livestream the Rosary at 3pm weekdays on our Facebook page, and encourage you to pray with us. We also encourage you to download and read the bulletin weekly. It can be found here on our website...

Blessings,

Fr. Shijo Vadakumkara
