We have slowly been reopening the church facility for sacramental preparation and catechetical classes. We believe that it is now possible with masks, social distancing, and other protocols to open to additional parish ministry groups. This does not mean we are back to normal. Any ministry group that would like to meet inside the facility must schedule a request through the parish office, and agree to follow the protocols. Any group found not following safety measures in place will not be permitted to assemble on church property - no exceptions! Keep in mind that the rooms available for meetings may change from week to week. Also, the weekly ability to meet will depend on current local and state regulations, which we all know can change quickly. For more information please refer to this week’s bulletin insert available here.

I also remind you that the obligation to attend Sunday Mass has been removed. If you are sick or compromised in any way or you live with anyone who is compromised, you should not attend and are encouraged instead to watch the livestream of the Saturday 4:30pm Mass on our Facebook page at OR our website at No account or login is required at either website in order to watch. In addition, we livestream the Rosary at 3pm weekdays on our Facebook page, and encourage you to pray with us. I also encourage you to download and read the bulletin weekly. It can be found on our website and at

Know that Fathers Shijo, Stephen and I pray for you daily, and we ask simply that you remember us in your prayer. I remain,

A Servant in the Lord,

There have been many challenges posed during this Covid-19 pandemic; however one of the blessed opportunities has been a refocusing on family life.  It is out of this spirit, that the Diocese of Owensboro is pleased to offer a virtual family retreat called “Building a Family of Faith.” These 3 hour retreat experiences are geared towards the whole family and will consist of brief talks equipping parents, family prayer experiences and engagement, and guidance in creating a family plan for establishing your home as a community of faith.  The retreat is broken up into 3 sessions. This retreat experience is a FREE event and will be offered at two different times.  You only need to choose one of the two options if you wish for your family to attend.  Pre-registration IS required! Upon registering your family, you will be sent a link through Zoom Video Conferencing to your email to gather with us on the day of retreat.  Please contact Danny May ( with any questions you may have about the retreat or pre-registering. Option 1: Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 | 9:00AM-12:00PM Register at Option 2: Sunday, November 22, 2020 | 1:00PM-4:00PM Register at

“The largest form of violence against people in poverty in the world would be in the realm of violence against women and children.” - Philip Langford, president of International Justice Mission U.S.

Unfortunately, COVID19 has been a boon for sex-trafficking organizations, as well as for the online porn industry - both of which work hand-in-hand to perpetuate sexual violence against the weakest and most vulnerable among us. The Clean Heart Initiative website, by the Diocese of Owensboro's Office of Marriage & Family Life, is an effort to make resources and information available to both parents and those wanting freedom from pornography addiction in one place. The creation of this initiative is our Diocesan response to the 2015 document by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (Create in Me a Clean Heart: a Pastoral Response to Pornography). Fighting the effects of pornography in today’s technologically advanced society can seem overwhelming, but the good news is there are plenty of resources to help!
