I pray you are having a blessed week...
I wish today to remind you of our inclement weather policy. If Bowling Green City Schools are closed, then all events at Holy Spirit are cancelled EXCEPT MASS, and the parish office is closed. I bring this up due to Stations of the Cross scheduled for this Friday evening at 6pm. As that is not a Mass, if Bowling Green City Schools are closed on Friday, then Stations of the Cross will be cancelled. The Friday noon Mass, however, will still be held, even if it is only Fr. Stephen or I at the altar.
I also remind you that the obligation to attend Sunday Mass has been removed. If you are sick or compromised in any way or you live with anyone who is compromised, you should not attend and are encouraged instead to watch the livestream of the Saturday 4:30pm Mass on our Facebook page at https://facebook.com/hsccbg OR our website at https://holyspiritcatholic.org/livestreamed-masses. No account or login is required at either website in order to watch. In addition, we livestream the Rosary at 3pm weekdays on our Facebook page, and encourage you to pray with us. We also encourage you to download and read the bulletin weekly. It can be found here on our website...

Announcements & Events
The Diocese of Owensboro is pleased to bring you Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, via a Zoom meeting "Consecration to St. Joseph in the Year of St. Joseph" on February 24, 2021 at 2 PM. This is a free event and just requires registration using the link here. For the first time in the 2,000-year history of Christianity, the Catholic Church is celebrating a Year of St. Joseph! It began on December 8, 2020 and ends on December 8, 2021. In this talk, Fr. Calloway will unpack what this means and how we can take advantage of this special year and consecrate ourselves to St. Joseph. There is a strong movement of renewed devotion to St. Joseph taking place in the Church today and Fr. Calloway will inspire you to want to get to know and love St. Joseph, your spiritual father, in a deeper and more profound way.
The Diocese is calling forth men who are interested in service to the Church as a Permanent Deacon. Permanent Deacons, under the leadership of our bishop and in partnership with priests, religious communities, laity, and the gifted women of the Diaconate Community, humbly commit themselves to the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ and his Church through the diaconal ministries of Service, Worship, and proclamation of the Gospel in word and deed. The next group of deacon candidates (English) will be forming in the Fall of 2021. More information about becoming a Permanent Deacon, who to contact if you have questions, and the required application, to be in by May 29, 2021, can be found at the diocesan webpage.
