What Is RCIA?
A spiritual journey of formation for those who wish to learn more in anticipation of joining the Catholic Church. This takes place over a period of time to bring a deeper commitment to Christ, a firm commitment to Liturgical and moral responsibilities of a fully Christian life, a thorough understanding of the Catholic faith, and an experience of the parish community.
Who Is It For?
Those a) who are unbaptized; b) who were baptized in a different faith tradition; or c) who were baptized Catholic but haven’t made their First Holy Communion or received the Sacrament of Confirmation. What If I’m Not Sure? Come and see! There is no obligation to join and no fees required. Ask yourself: Do I have a reasonable understanding of the Catholic faith? Do I have a deep faith in Jesus Christ? These important questions may help make your decision. We willmeet you where you are. Christ in the City Missionary
As a parish family we wish to offer our prayers and support to parishioner Alex Miller, a Christ in the City missionary. Christ in the City is a group of young adult Catholic missionaries who serve the homeless in Denver, Colorado. In 2020 their 33 person missionary staff spent 25,000+ hours in street ministry. In that same year Christ in the City served over 16,000+ meals and 5,250 mobile meals were served during COVID-19 when the parks were closed.
Alex is working as a Christ in the City missionary for one year. Please pray for Alex, and all missionaries! To learn more about Alex’s journey and help support his mission visit his webpage. You may also read his most recent update in the October 9th bulletin.
