About

Holy Spirit Catholic Church Youth Ministry is comprised of a couple of different programs and a variety of paths to getting youth involved in the parish community. The goal of the HSCC Youth Ministry is to help our young people to become rooted in their faith and identity in Christ and to develop skills and practices for lifelong discipleship.

Youth Group Program

The most well-known of our programs is our Youth Group program. Youth Group is a place for teenagers to learn about and grow in their faith and community with one another.  The High School youth (9th-12th grade) meet on Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm. Click here for High School Youth Group Fall 2020 Schedule The middle school youth (7th & 8th grade) meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm. COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Due to the Coronavirus, we have new protocols for the health and safety of all participating in gathered activities at Holy Spirit Parish. Please read them carefully before attending any gathering at the parish.

  • Parents must sign a Health Check-In Form each time their child attends a gathering at Holy Spirit. You may download the form here and fill it out at home, or simply come to the Youth Room door to fill out a form as your child enters the building. Forms and a thermometer will be located just inside the door. Your child will not be allowed to enter their gathering/classroom without this form completed. Note: The adult chaperones are permitted to check temperatures of attendees upon arrival; anyone with a temperature reading above 100.4 will be refused entry and sent home.
  • All persons entering the building (over the age of 2) must wear a mask (covering the nose and mouth) at all times. Persons without a mask will not be permitted to enter the building.
  • Social distancing of 6ft (or more) should be observed at all times between attendees of different households.
  • Participants are required to follow all health and safety protocols posted in the building (e.g., restroom protocols, floor tape for social distancing, etc.)

Christmas Camp – Gasper River Catholic Retreat Center

Every December 29th to January 1st, current 8th graders and high schoolers are invited to attend Christmas/New Year’s Camp.  It’s a great way for 8th graders to meet kids they’ll be going to Camp Life with next summer, and for High School Campers to reconnect with old friends.  This camp is much more laid back than summer camp; campers still do all the activities, celebrate the Sacraments, and have Adoration, but with a more relaxed atmosphere.   This is a great way to end one year, and begin the next! There are still spots available, so please register ASAP!
